How to Apply

BSID Fellowship for Young Investigators in the UK (value: £1,500)

The BSID awards annually this Fellowship to a Young Investigator in dermatological science or skin biology as a career development award. It is anticipated that the recipient will use the award to attend an international meeting or visit another department to gain further experience.

The applicant:

a) Should usually be less than 35 years old and a member of the BSID.
b) Should have a history of publishing high quality original research articles on skin-related sciences and/or disease.
c) Should have provided evidence of independent research and commitment to a career in investigative dermatology.
d) Should have attended and supported the BSID in the past.

Applicants are requested to forward to the Chairman:

a) a 1000 word submission describing the proposed use of the Fellowship and a review of their research field and research activities,
b) a one page summary of their curriculum vitae,
c) a covering letter from their Head of Department supporting the proposal.


The closing date for the 2008 BSID Annual Meeting in Oxford is Friday 14th December 2007.
