IID 2008 Travel Awards

At the BSID Annual General Meeting in April 2007, it was agreed to support up to five travel awards to attend the International Investigative Dermatology (IID) meeting in Kyoto, Japan, 14-17 May 2008. The awards were preferentially aimed at more junior research members and would be conditional on abstract acceptance.

As a result of the high demand, six awards, of £1,250 each, have been made to the following BSID members:

• Dr Penny Lovat, Newcastle University
• Vera Martins, Queen Mary, University of London
• Dr John Mee, King's College London
• Dr Chris Pickard, University of Southampton
