The Society promotes and encourages scientific research
in the field of dermatology and skin biology, and facilitates
the dissemination of results of research through its annual meeting.
The Society promotes exchange of information between clinicians
and scientists on the nature and function of skin in health and
disease. The Society also contributes to the education of trainees
in dermatology and other scientific workers in the field of skin
biology principally through educational meetings/symposia.
Benefits of membership
- Members receive a regular newsletter which provides updates
regarding meetings, educational events and prizes. This information
will also be available on-line through the BSID website.
Registration rates
- Members of the BSID receive reduced registration rates for the
annual meeting. Members are also eligible to apply for a number
of prizes/travel awards. Newsletters as distributed regularly
to the membership are now available on-line.
