BSID Prize winners were at the BAD 106th Annual Meeting in Manchester (29 June-2 July 2026) to showcase the best research conducted by our Society members. 

The BSID presentations were the highlights of an excellent Plenary Scientific Session:  Bench to bedside science BAD and BSID  on Thursday morning

In this session, the Prize winners of BSID 2026   (Spatial Transcriptomic Profiling Reveals IL1B+ Macrophages as Major Drivers of Senescence in Chronic Wounds- Lauren Colborn, Hull York Medical School, Unravelling the Molecular Pathogenesis of Steatocystoma Multiplex using Spatial Transcriptomics and Lipidomics- Dr Marianne de Brito, QMUL and Spatially Resolved Transcriptional Divergence in Photoageing at Pigmentary Extremes – Dr Michael Peake, University of Manchester) , presented their work alongside selected abstracts and an Invited Talk from Professor Michael Simpson, Kings College London who talked about ‘Translational Dermatology :From Genome to Clinic in Complex Inflammatory Skin Disease
