Best of BSID at BAD 2024

BSID 2024 Prize Winners were at the BAD 104th Annual Meeting in Manchester to showcase the best research conducted by our Society members.

Best PhD Students Oral presentation winners Ms Simranpreet Summan (joint), Ms Priya Garcha (joint) and Dr Rebecca Adams (Clinical) presented their work in a well attended session chaired by BSID Chair Prof Neil Rajan and Committee member  Dr Matthew Caley. 

Dr Rubeta Matin reprised her excellent talk from the BSID 2024 Skin Club on how AI can be as usefool tool in the the skin cancer pathway. We also welcomed  Dr Tanya Shaw  from King’s College London who delivered the Guest Speaker Lecture, sharing her latest work on the complex architecture of keloid scar extracellualr matrix.

The session was very lively, with the talks generating losts of interest and questions from junior doctors and more seasoned clinicinas alike. It was also nice to see a few BSID old friends in the room!
