BSID-BAD Dermatology Research Techniques Course 2024-Applications are OPEN

The BSID and the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) invite applications  to attend the BSID-BAD Dermatology Research Techniques Course 2024 on 11 and 12 November 2024 in London.

The course is directed by Dr Paola Di Meglio and is organised at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, King’s College London, and  is open to Dermatology trainees or trainee doctors committed to a career in Dermatology who have an interest in pursuing research but have not yet undertaken a substantial amount of laboratory research.  It is also aimed at Trainees who may not have access to a local skin research laboratory.

Trainees  will learn about cutting-edge technologies applied to skin research and will acquire some basis laboratory skills and hands-on-experience. The programme comprises of short lectures followed by supervised practical sessions delivered by KCL academic and research staff. Topics covered in the 2024 course include:  Genetics, Genomics, Transcriptomics, Bioinformatics, Bioimaging and Flow Cytometry.

The course is free to attend, however attendees will be expected to cover costs for any travel and accommodation. Applications close on August 29th 2024. Full details can be found  HERE.
