BSID Medal 2025
Professor John McGrath was awarded the BSID Medal 2025 for Contributions to Dermatological Research!
The BSID Annual Meeting 2025 was held At Kings College London from April 28th to the 30th April.
Over 180 attendees enjoyed a 3-days program packed with exciting skin research in a friendly and fun environment.

Prize Winners 2025
At the end of the meeting the BSID Chair, Professor Neil Rajan, presented the prizes to the Early Career Researchers who gave the Best Oral and Poster Presentations:
Best Presentation by a PhD Student: Sheila McSweeney from King’s College London
Best Presentation by a Post-Doc: Bezaleel Mambwe from The University of Manchester
BSID 2025 Poster Prizes supported by 10X Genomics
Best Poster Presentation: Martina Elias from the University of Edinburgh
Best Poster Presentation, Runner Up: Metka Gorkic from QMUL
ECR award winner for 2025 Dr Ravi Ramesur
There was extremely strong competition for this years BSID Early Career Researcher award with applications assessed by a panel of BSID Committee members joined by Professors from across the UK.
This years recipient was Dr Ravi Ramesur. Ravi gave us a fascinating insight into his work on inflammatory skin disease and translational medicine and his plans for the future.
