New tiered membership structure from 2025

At the 2024 AGM in Southampton, BSID members agreed to increase the membership price, unchanged for many years, and to move to a new, tiered structure which includes 4 categories:
- Patron
- Full member
- Early Career Researchers, i.e trainees and PhD/MD students
- Undergraduate and MSc students
The new tiered structure will apply to 2025 membership.
New members should choose which membership category they sit in according to their role, as outlined on our Membership page. Current members have been assigned to categories. New membership applications will be processed according to the new tiered structure for 2025 memberships, with revised fees charged from 1st January, allowing new members to apply immediately for travel bursaries and awards and to benefit from reduced registration at the Annual Meeting 2025.
